Identity & attendance

RFID / NFCSmart cardssystemd agentREST API
The problem

Card-based attendance has one structural weakness: a card only proves the card was present, not the person. It can be handed to someone else, and most systems have no way to know.

Our approach

We build identity checks where the biometric match happens on the credential itself, so possession of the card alone proves nothing — the card has to also recognize the finger.

What this covers
01

On-card fingerprint match

The card's own firmware holds the enrolled fingerprint and refuses to authorize a tap until the correct finger is presented. No biometric data reaches a server.

02

Check-in / check-out logic

First tap of the day checks a person in, the second checks them out — no separate mode switch needed.

03

Unassigned card handling

An unrecognized card is logged, not rejected silently, so an admin can register it to a specific person.

04

API-first design

Built as a platform other systems can integrate against — a school's SIS or an HR system — rather than a closed single-purpose app.
